I may be in the minority on this one, but I have always thought that Halo's costume was very cool. I love the asymmetrical design of it and it looks good from many different angles - even if it might be a pain to illustrate for some. Most of all, it's just unique! Other artists have tried to update Jim Aparo's original look for the character, but nothing has worked as well for me as the original.
I absolutely agree with you regarding Halo's costume. A unique design and perfect for the character.
ReplyDeleteCan Halo's "costume" really be considered such? Isn't it kind of a skin/ sheath/ aura taken from the energy creature that gave her her powers? It doesn't act like a simple outfit as it winks on when she wants it.
ReplyDeleteDarn! :-(
ReplyDeleteFor a second, I thought it was gonna be Rich Rider and the Master Chief!!
"...I thought it was gonna be Rich Rider and the Master Chief..."
ReplyDeleteLOL! Let the googling commence.
I agree about Halo's costume.
ReplyDeleteIs that 'Nova' the ex-girlfriend of Johnny Storm's who became a Herald of Galactus?
Eat the Cheeseburger Save the World.
ReplyDeleteHey this is Frankie/Nova's debut here at Super - Team Family! Woo Hoo!!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes @Simreeve it is her, and it is her debut here to boot.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your comment about Halo's costume, and raise you Jack of Hearts. :)
ReplyDeleteWe need A team up of the Hamburger Meister (Jack In The Box Bunch 1970's) and Master Chief (HALO the SVG not the Super Heroine).
ReplyDelete@Brother Barnes: or, better yet? Master Chief and Magic Chef!
ReplyDeleteI miss Jim Aparo's work. The Brave and The Bold was one of my favorite books as a kid.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: How about Master Chief, Super Chief, Magic Chef and Burger Chef?
ReplyDeleteI didn't care much for Halo's costume when she first appeared, but I quickly grew to like it. Never cared for the white, collared number that replaced it, though. Ditto Geo-Force; I thought his original brown-and-orange costume looked terrific, but the later gold-and-green version was awful... or maybe it was just the silly "GF" emblem that I disliked.
ReplyDeleteThe Geo Force Metro experience Earth Driving without gravity.
