In addition to the Marvel shows announced, the Disney streaming service will also be featuring a Star Wars-related series, The Mandalorian. It is supposed to feature the adventures of a lone fighter pilot in the time frame between the original trilogy and The Force Awakens. There isn't much to make a judgment about it yet, but Jon Favreau's involvement as writer and producer is certainly a positive sign. It could be pretty cool.
"Heir Jordan."
ReplyDeleteOh, that's cute! :-)
Fantastic title. The rest of great too.
ReplyDeleteOooh, ooh...! Follow up with Sinestro vs. Darth Vader!!
ReplyDeleteLove the title. Love the scene. Love the cover in general.
ReplyDeleteI do wish DC and Marvel would actually do a monthly series like this. Unfortunately it was somewhat easier to get those two to get along when they weren't basically Time-Warner and Disney -- though that expansion would make the crossover possibilities even broader. Imagine Darth Vader facing Marvin the Martian, John Constantine dealing with the X-Files, or Darkwing Duck teaming up with Jonny Quest.
Here's an idea for Thanksgiving; Popeye and Striperella, where Popeye, who eats spinach, teases Striperella for eating tofu turkey for Thanksgiving (tofu is probably worse to eat than spinach).
ReplyDeleteP.S.---here's one for Brother Barnes.
ReplyDeleteWhere did Popeye spend his wedding night?
On a bed of spinach with extra-virgin Olive Oyl!

Or even the Mystery Machine at the House of Mystery. But I think the first idea would be more fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat title! One of your best!
ReplyDeleteCaptain Caveman in the Batcave our the JLA's original Secret Sanctuary?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Ross, any chance of dialing down the Captcha to a less sensitive setting?
That's a blogger thing, I have no control over it.

ReplyDelete"The Phantom Stranger calling upon the casts of Duck Tales and Scooby Doo"
Scooby-Doo and friends have actually met the Phantom Stranger (along with many of DC's ghostly characters, too), in #13 of DC's 'Scooby-Doo! Team-Up' comic.
@Simreeve: would you settle for the Winchester Brothers meet Goober and the Ghost Chasers?
ReplyDelete"Give in to the Dark Side." - Darth Vader "I am the Darkside." - The Shadow. "Who are you?" - Darth Vader "Heh Heh Ha Ha HA-HAH!!!!!!" - The Shadow, Darth Vader goes into vertigo wildly flailing with his lightsaber and throwing things in the force to no avail, while Darth Sidious lies on the floor in fetal position weeping and going into a crying jag spilling the entire contents his bowels and bladder into his robes.

ReplyDelete@Ross: or, failing that, Magnus vs. the Captcha Robot (who's getting way out of hand with these mix & match security precautions).
