I was really looking forward to Adam Warlock being introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3. Now that the film is without a director and shooting has been pushed off for another year, I am wondering if we will see him at all. If they decide to keep James Gunn's script, he will probably still be included, but there still seems to be some debate about that happening.
Thank you to David Miller for suggesting this pairing, one I was surprised that I had not done before!
I can never see Adam Warlock without remembering a certain exchange from one of his earlier appearances _
ReplyDeleteVillain: "You face a true warlock now, a master of the earth, wind and fire!"
Adam: "Are you a super-villain, or a pop group?"
^_^
Whoa! Simreeve just one-upped Brother Barnes!! Somebody notify Buffy Summers!!! That's gotta be an ill-omen.
ReplyDeleteAlright, a team-up of two christ-like figures, good one Ross. Loving the cover.
ReplyDeleteMan I really, really hope we get to see Adam Warlock in GoTG 3 since he may not show up in AV4, when by all accounts he really should. Here's hoping. Fingers and dick crossed ;)
Ross, from time to time you do a cover with a cartoon character rather than just comic art. Here's an unusual idea for you to consider.
ReplyDeletePeppa Pig and a figure from one of Picasso's artworks like this or this . Perhaps with Calvin in there too.

ReplyDeleteHave the Magus (Marvel alter ego of Adam Warlock) fight Starfire (1970's Post apocalyptic Sword & Sorcery Heroine DC) & Starfire ("Goldy here makes Loni Anderson Look Like Olive Oyl." - Beast Boy 1980 DC). You can have Blackfire as the Carnival Barker. "Hurr-ry Hurr-ry Hurr-ry!" - Blackfire (from my own fascinating Imagination (insert SpongeBob making his "Water Rainbow" here, but you can't see what I meme gotta get away get away Holy Diverrrrrr Yeah!)) Beware of Freaks Bearing GIFs.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with Warlock. But Jay Garrick has called and wants his shirt back.
ReplyDelete@Brother Barnes: it's more likely Byth under the mind-control of Thanos (via one of the Controller's "slave discs").
ReplyDelete-That Blythe Danner can be quite a handful.
ReplyDeleteThat's the blithe spirit! :-)
ReplyDeleteCary Comic Cor & Blyme.
ReplyDeleteThe Controller's slave discs sold many a fruit pie.
ReplyDeleteYou might say he was a Hostess server. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCary Comic you win this round, but "...I'll Be back when the Week is new and you'll have things you'll want to talk about and I will too." - Mister/Minister Fred Rogers.
ReplyDeleteFor a second, I thought you were paraphrasing the 1940 version of "The Wolf Man."
ReplyDelete"Even a man who is pure in heart
And says his prayers by night
May become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms...
And the autumn moon is bright."
Cary Comic Listen in awe and you'll Hear Him @ Trader Vic's doing the Were Wolves of London Calling to the Under World where we Dance Underneath The Radar Radar Rider by way of Omaha. It might be a stream, but are you sure I'm conscious? Tonight is what it means to be Jung Wilde & Free Bird.
ReplyDeleteLet's have a drink at the Paul Revere Tavern...where nary a man is now alive.
ReplyDeleteDon't tease me, bro'!
ReplyDeleteMajor shout out to Super Team family. They’re killing it with these covers. Absolutely amazing 🤩
