Captain Kirk Vs. Michael Myers

Thanks to Patron of this blog Mike Shirley for suggesting this Halloween team up! For a kid who liked Superheroes, I don't remember really dressing up as them for the holiday.  I mostly stuck to the classic monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein or the Mummy.  It wasn't until college Halloween parties that I started too put together comic related costumes - The Flash, Superman, Bizarro, Clark Kent, and so on.  I still remember coming as Green Lantern and some girl at the party asking if I was supposed to be a potted plant.

  1. Of course we know where the real conflict comes from: "Take off my face!"

  2. An interesting "team-up" might be Scooby-Doo and Bob Barker. Holy fear of IMPRUDENT violence! LOLXD

  3. Freddy Krueger vs. Zoidberg?

    "Nightmare On Crab Meat"

  4. And if there are those who do not get the joke, to make Michael Myers, the face was an inside-out Captain Kirk mask.

Brilliant bit! My wife and I both loved it!

  5. Another idea could be Magnus, Robot Fighter, vs. Rosemary (Rosie) Jetson who used to be all human!

  6. Your response to girl should have been "I'll be your potted plant if you will be my Poison Ivy."

  7. If the double-fist move doesn't take him out, the flying kick will. Meyers is a formidable foe, but no one is a match for Kirk-Fu.

  8. Here's an odd crossover idea... Spongebob vs. Godzilla!

  9. Nicely done Ross! My reaction is echoed in Marc's and David's responses.

Now, with Veterans' Day coming up, maybe you could bring Captain America and the Unknown Soldier back together (they first met way back in #885).

  10. I almost hate to admit it. But, Mike was right. This is a better team-up than Kirk vs. Jason X! Especially in the original 20th century setting of Haddonfield, Illinois.

Of course, if this were an actual intercompany crossover, I can imagine what the in-story reason might be. An endangerment to Kirk's personal history should Laurie not survive to become the ancestor to one of his parents in the Iowa town of...Crystal Lake.

    Bwa-hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Thanks, again, Mike and Ross. And Happy Halloween!

  11. Hmmmm!

Maybe some kind of predestination paradox is at work, here. As in, Laurie is predestined to marry James Lloyd Kirk. Grandson of General Heywood "Woody" Kirk (military co-director of Project: Tic-Toc)! After all; not all trips back to the past (for the captain and crew of NCC-1701) have to be discourtesy of The Guardian of Forever or some radically orbited black hole.

Just once, the blame could lie with The Time Tunnel!

  12. Either that; or Kirk and Laurie are mutually related to the ill-fated Mark Preston. ;-)

  13. another great Hallowday cover, Ross....
i just recently read that the Kirk mask used was just one of four which were bought for consideration....
mask #2 was done because early in the film young Michael was trick or treating as clown so an Emmet Kelly Jr. mask was bought...
#3 eas ole Tricky Dickie himself Richard Nixon....
and the fourth mask bought was another TV character...
    Leonard Nimoy's Mr. Spock....
as Paul Harvey used to say...
"now you know the reat of the story"...
    Happy Halloween everyone...

  15. I get such a thrill coming over here. It instantly recaptures my youth and sometimes: Adam Strange and Star-Lord, Batman and Captain Britain, my childhood is encapsulated in single images. Thank you. It’s hugely appreciated.

  16. Sorry for a belated after Halloween post. Just had a late thought of Edward Scissorhands meeting Wolverine as part of a pre-Weapon-X program. Or having them join forces against Freddy Kruger. (I'm sure you have picked up on the razor sharp theme.)

  17. I despise slasher movies, so I know little about them--but Myers has no paranormal abilities, right?

    He's just a serial killer.

That's not "Fatty" Kirk on the cover; that is James T. in his prime.

    Kirk wins.

  18. @KC: none except his Highlander-style invulnerability and (perhaps) the power to astrally project into another person's body. That's the only way I can _logically_ explain the otherwise shoddy plot device used in the prologue of HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION. More specifically; why a paramedic with a crushed larynx wasn't instinctively clutching at his throat in pain. As opposed to standing there with such unrealistic calm (just prior to being beheaded) as depicted at the end of H20!

  19. Would Wolverine let Edward Scissorhands cut his hair? I don't think the Owl (Marvel Villain (Similar Hairstyle as Wolvie)) would.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Methinks both Wolvie and the Owl get their out-of-this world hairstyles from Giorgio Tsoukalos. ;-)

  21. Prime rib has a lot of fat in it. Come here Fatty Fatty Fatty.

  22. If Courageous Cat's arch-enemy, The Frog, got hold of the Cosmic Cube, and became a virtual god, would he change his name to...Prime Ribbit?

  23. If Myers does have some sort of mojo going for him, Spock will figure out how to neutralize it.

The Vampire Cloud (from "Obsession"), the Space Amoeba, Apollo, Vaal, Nomad, and the Doomsday Machine were all far more powerful and dangerous than Myers. Where are they now?

    Do not #@$% with Starfleet.

  28. For next year? Michael vs, Jason!

  29. Definetally based on the fact that a Captain Kirk mask served as the mold for Michael Myers mask. Can you do Dexter vs Michael Myers, or Dexter vs Freddy Krueger?

  30. Major shout out to Super Team family. They’re killing it with these covers. Absolutely amazing 🤩

  31. How about Michael Myers vs.(Jimmy Fallon look-alike) Mike Meyers?

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Anon329: which Mark Preston would that be? There are at least three of them listed on Wikipedia.

  33. Unless. of course, you're misremembering the stage name of English-born Australian actor Jack Davies: Michael "Mike" Preston.
