Will there be another Star Trek movie? Word is that Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth (slated for a return as Kirk's father) have walked away due to contract issues. Hopefully that's just a negotiation tactic and everything will get worked out.
This cover was a suggestion from comics historian and Patron of this blog Marc Tyler Nobleman, and frankly I was surprised I never thought of it myself. It seems like such a natural to have these adventurers meet for one epic story. Thanks, Marc!
I'll bet the Challs used Rip Hunter's time machine to go into the future for some 23rd-century hyronalin (as an antidote for the Thing's green radiation poisoning).*
ReplyDelete*See STF #2323.
But, even if I'm wrong, this was a suitable topic for a semi-centennial cover. Just epic enough not to detract from whatever you might be planning for STF #2400! Thanks to both you and Mr. Nobleman.
ReplyDelete"Amok Borrowed Time"?
ReplyDeleteGood one, Emsley Wyatt!
ReplyDeleteWhat baffles me is why there has not been a real life Batman '66 Meets Star Trek TOS crossover yet. That seems like a total no-brainer to me.

ReplyDeleteHopefully there will NEVER be another Abrams crapfest further staining the legacy of Star Trek.

ReplyDeleteHow about a Bruce Lee/ Master of Kung Fu team up?
ReplyDelete@Emsley Wyatt: That's much better than "The Naked Borrowed Time."

They should replace Chris Pine with William Shatner playing the original universe Captain Kirk who has somehow swapped places with the Pine version. Since the actor who played Chekov died they should bring in the two characters they made up for the old animated series: Arex and M'Ress.
ReplyDeleteYou should Arex out the room before cleaning up the M'Ress.

ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmmmmm! Wouldn't that make an excellent cover for STF #2375.
ReplyDeleteBatman and Capt. America glowering at Sean Connery's 007 while Catwoman and Diamondback swoon over him. Ross could call it...
"Loving Daylights."
I'd rather see 007 trying to seduce Medusa of Attilan. That way, Ross could call it...OF INHUMAN BOND-AGE!
