OK, something a little different today. This was a suggestion from the youngest fan of this blog. Paul Theodorou is the son of one of my oldest friends and just a great all around guy. When he requested a cover with his two favorite characters, I had to make it happen. Paul turns 3 years old next month, and I hope he likes this as an early birthday present!
even though i have another sixty years added on, the 3 year old in me also loved this very British team-up.....
ReplyDeletei have been a Whovian for 40+ years but only got into the Thomas stories when my grandson loved watching his stories and collecting his toys....
another English mythos as expansive as that of the Time Lords....
GREAT COVER, ROSS, for the 3 year old or 63 year old in all of us!!!
how do you continue to knock them out of the park???
This is good. I wonder if they go back to the Modern Stone Age and meet the Flintstones or go into the future to meet the Jetsons. I think this would have been a good TV story, especially given the use of Matt Smith's version of the Doctor.
ReplyDelete@Mickey: Was your comment inspired by Lego Dimensions?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, an interesting addition to Lego Dimensions would be Lego Friends and Equestria Girls (they are accused of being designed as feminine human eye candy).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rendering, Ross. Kind of reminds me of one of my favorite Transformers: Astro-train!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderfully-composed cover, Ross. I specifically like how the Doctor's feet look like he's just stepping off Thomas' front end, and about to make one of his famous speeches.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this, Paul!
I am SOOOOO in love with this inspired one!!! Geronimo! Toot Toot!
ReplyDeleteThere's something sinister about Thomas's number being reversed though :)
ReplyDelete@kaptain Kobold: You mean, the "O 1?" I thought that was binary code.
