Captain America's war years were covered quickly in a few scenes and montages in his first movie. Now that Marvel is on the verge of acquiring most of its characters, a flashback Invaders movie could actually happen - and be very cool. Of course, the one sticking point would be Namor, who's rights are still tangled up with Universal Pictures, but perhaps a deal like was done with Spider-Man could make it work.
The Rocketeer? Fighting _against_ The Invaders? What would compel him to commit such treason in the midst of WWII?
ReplyDeleteLet me guess: he knows the location of Per Degaton's Infinity Gauntlet. And he considers that a cure worse than the disease.
Could he be hiding the secret of the rocket pack? That seems the most obvious thing.
ReplyDeleteWoo! I suggested something along these lines back when they fought Man-Bat! Interesting take on it, Ross. Love it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it, Mike!
ReplyDelete@Jim Burrows: too obvious (like the very first suspect arrested on MURDER SHE WROTE).
ReplyDelete"Cliff's Notes." Ouch. :)
ReplyDelete@BB: Actually, I thought that was pretty clever! Simple, but effective. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe idea of an Invaders movie is great idea since they could use different actors but the movie version of Captain America's career is so short I'd have trouble find space to put it especially if Bucky was a member.
