The Prowler Joins The Secret Society of Super-Villains

The Prowler was teased with the appearance of Donald Glover as his alter ego Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming.  He was seen to be trying to purchase high tech equipment, so the seeds have been set for a full costumed appearance in the future.  A deleted scene had him mentioning his nephew Miles, so perhaps he will be back in an Ultimate Spider-Man movie down the line instead.

  1. I preferred the original Prowler: Hobart Brown, Esq. Now, THAT guy was bad-a** kicker of a**!

As for today's cover? Ah, how I miss the Silver Age Chronos! Simply a high-tech thief obsessed with time...rather than a glorified second-string Kang.

    Sorry; it's just that...

    *Snicker*

    ...the way Grodd is positioned...

    ...over Prowler's cowl.

    BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  3. Shame on you, Cary1

Such infantile humor is worthier of Blue and Gold from the J.L.D. years.

  4. The Secret Society of Super-Villains is one of those titles that I always wanted to like more than I actually did. The concept had a lot of potential, but the actually series was always sort of all over the place.

  5. The Prowler, meets the Prowler from Eclipse comics? (The old former movie star character)

  6. @Ken Roskos: why not? Airboy could introduce them.

  7. Always liked the SSoSV more than the Injustice League, etc. Sort of the villains version of the Defenders.

  8. @ TJW & Glenn Host - I agree with you both. They had so much potential in the early issues. It was my fav after LoSH. Now if Ross could match them with a Marvel equivalent .......

  9. That would probably be the Squadron Sinster or the Masters of Evil.

  10. Hell we need a Secret society movie! Or TV show! If Berlanti can sow the seeds for Suicide squad, Ssov should be a pinch. Come on, WB don't screw it up.

  11. Maybe CW can do that for their next Nielsen-hungry crossover between THE FLASH et al.

  12. P.S. @ Anonymous: I take that as the supreme compliment. Their antics were the only bright spot during the Justice League Dull years!
