Video Interview - STF: The Lost Issues on Mr. Media!
I was pleased to be invited to be interviewed by Mr. Media himself, Bob Andelman, last week. We even included a mini-tutorial on one of my covers. you can view it right here:
I agree with Mr. Media: Very Cool. Only problem is that now I'm an hour behind in my chores for the morning! I normally hit your blog as part of my read-the-paper-before-breakfast ritual, but had to come back and finish the interview.
Now I keep imagining you doing a cover teaming up Stan Lee with... yourself. I think that beats out Snow White and the Seven Soldiers of Victory for weirdness.
Ross, For some reason, the idea of you and Stan on a cover made me think of the trope of an artist's self portrait of him at the drawing board surrounded by his characters, and how it would be neat if you could work a couple of those into a cover (some kind of 'Contest of Champions thing, or maybe a "In Memoriam").
Anyway, I went looking for a couple of them just for an example, and found a whole page you might be able to borrow from (if you have a Pinterest account).

Even if you don't use them, there are some darn nice images there.
Nice bonus! Thanks for including it. :-)

ReplyDeleteThanks for watching, Jay!

Haha I'm not worthy to share a cover with Stan!

I've been meaning to use the Kirby self portrait at his art board image for ages.
ReplyDelete@Bob Greenwade. Maybe so. But, nothing will _ever_ top Snow White and the 7 Soldiers for just plain zany cuteness!
