Starfox Joins Femforce

If there's one group that Starfox would like to join, here it is.  He has long had a weakness for beautiful women, after all.  He's also been known to not always use his emotion-influencing abilities in the most ethical ways, though.  It was a good thing when She-Hulk finally had him own up to some of that misuse during a story arc in one of her series.

  2. It is good to see you using some AC characters. I would like to see some of the older ones. The art from AC was always so great and the characters so interesting. I would love to see these team-ups. Flash & Commando D; Superman & Capt. Paragon; Nightveil & Dr. Fate or Dr. Strange; Batman & Scarlet Scorpion; Green Lantern and Stardust and Wonder Woman and Dragon Fly! Thanks so much for the great work you do.

  3. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! :-D

Thank you-thank you-THANK YOU, ROSS! I was so hoping this somewhat lesser known FF (one might almost call them "The DistaFF") would grace one of your covers someday. I was always hoping Spidey would be the first Marvel hero to meet them! But, Starfox works, too.

Now, if only he could get to meet the other Star Fox! As in, McCloud?

  4. How about an entry where Tennessee Tuxedo is offered the title Mask after his name thinking he is getting a babysitting gig because Tuxedo Mask tells him he's going to mingle with "chicks" (which tennessee thinks are baby penguins or other birds).

  5. Of course Sailor Moon's Tuxedo Mask and his"mortal"(?) alter-ego Darien might be too gentlemanly to use the slang "chick(s)".

  6. P.S.---let's see if I can play "Who's Who?". Upper left corner; Kitten (female Robin to the Golden Age Catman). Lower left corner; Stardust of Rur. Center; Ms. Victory (imagine if STF's favorite star-spangled couple had a daughter). Lower right; Lauren "Yankee Girl" Mason.
And, upper right; She-Cat (pastiche/analog of Harvey comics' Golden Age Black Cat).

  7. Really nice cover, Ross.

And speaking of superhero groups with mostly female members, I've been thinking lately, what if Mockingbird joined the Birds of Prey? She seems like she would be a natural fit. I wonder if she would resent Helena for using the name Huntress....

  8. Can't really add anything else, other than I definitely agree that Starfox would be like a pig in $!it of he ever was allowed to join this group. Probably set the most record for sexual harassment reports on the job as well.

I also second the suggestion for seeing more Femforce around here. Maybe a crossover fight between the Lady Liberators and Femforce?

  9. I'm sure he'd love to join the FF, but doesn't the silly guy realize he'd never pass the physical?

  10. Love it! how about a follow up where Starfox meets Vartox? lol

  11. ...or how about a cover where Vartox meets James Bond (Connery version) and Zardoz from the film of the same name...
...this would probably be very hard but if any can pull it off it would be you Ross...

  12. At long last! The FF have arrived. Good to know I wasn't the only one waiting. And with a truly unexpected guest star. Another great cover!

  13. To the Anon who did the guessing game: nope! Sorry. The girl in yellow isn't Stardust of Rur. Stardust had silvery-white hair like Dragonfly and Synesthesia! This one has a raven-colored pony tail. So, I'm guessing Rocket Girl (from the 1950's).

  14. @Cary: ooops! My bad.

  15. Never heard of Starfox before, but at first glance I couldn't help wondering why he was wearing Timber Wolf's haircut as well as his logo.

  16. He was created as the playboy brother of the mad Saturnian Thanos of Titan in the pages of Silver Age Marvel's INVINCIBLE IRON MAN (back when those comics were still just 25 cents!!!). Which is why he should not be confused with the video game character of the same name.

  17. Nice cover, Ross. But I have to disagree with your comment. During that period of the Avengers, She-Hulk was portrayed as just as much a hedonist as Starfox. Whatever happened between them was clearly mutual. It was only later, darkness-obsessed creators who wanted to make it "edgy" who decided Starfox brainwashed Shulkie...kind of the same way all anybody today knows about Hank Pym is "He's a wife-beater!"

  18. Actually, Starfox brainwashed her into falling for John "Man-Wolf" Jameson. Which, iirc, was during the phase when she was a Fourth Wall-breaker (a la modern Deadpool).
