The Avengers meet Orion and Lightray

Avengers: Infinity War was originally supposed to have "Part I" in the title, but they decided not to go that route, and will give the 4th film in the franchise its own (for now, mysterious) title.  Does this mean that the new film will be self-contained, without feeling like half of a story?  I can't imagine there won't be at least a couple of cliffhangers.

Long-time STF visitors know that Darkseid enslaved The Avengers way back in issue #377...

  1. How could Izaya be responsible for the Avengers enslavement almost eighteen hundred and forty issues ago? Could it be that he hid the Anti-Life Equation in the Marvel Multiverse when it proved no longer safe in the DCU? If so, how did he get it there? Courtesy of Axel Asher doing a favor for Beautiful Dreamer of the Forever People?

As the late, great Wm. Self might have put it:

"Tune in tomorrow for the answers. Same Ross-time! Same Ross-channel!"

  4. Don the Avengers are a Perez/Sinnott picture from a 1977 Marvel Calendar based on The Avengers first meeting with Kang the Conqueror in "The Avengers" #8, 1964.

  5. I remember reading a reprint of Kang's debut, under that alias, in the comic called Marvel Triple Action. Probably the first time I had a name to connect to Jack Kirby's marvelous (yes, pun intended) artwork.

  6. @Matthew: Maybe so. But, Izaya's been a more nurturing role model than Darkseid. So, he's undeniably worthier of being called Orion's father. Just saying!
