Batman and Mad Max

I enjoyed the over the top visuals and action of Mad Max: Fury Road, and it seemed to resonate with audiences, so I am surprised I haven't read more about another installment in the franchise.  To tell the truth, I would rather see another movie featuring Charlize Theron's Furiosa, she made more of an impact on me than Tom Hardy's stoic Max.

  1. i remember reading somewhere that the director felt that Fury Road was such a massive, exhausting undertaking, he was no longer in a hurry to make another one. and when the film did not garner any oscars, that really put a kabosh on future plans. really a shame.

  2. Nothing to do with this cover, but I suspect this blog will eventually have a cover linked to the new Wonder Woman movie.

So I wanted to suggest a cover featuring Priscilla Rich (the Cheetah) and her cousin, Richie.

  3. For me, Mel Gibson is the once and future Mad Max. Just as Sean Connery is the once and future 007 of the STF-verse.

  4. Have you ever used the future 'Batman' from the 2050s[?] whom the time-shifted Jonah Hex encountered?

  6. @Simreeve and Ross: how about Iron Man of 2020 meets 31st century Batman? You guys could call it..."The Fateful Return of Fura."

  7. Just heard about Adam West passing away at 88. May the Bat Signal never go out.
