I thought that this would be a fun match up. it would be nice to see Thunderbolt and Shazzan really go at it without having to hold back. It would be cool to see it animated - come to think of it, there's never been a cartoon Johnny Thunder & T-Bolt- let's change that, DC Animation!
I remember this series! My favorite episode was "The Ring of Samarra" where the abducted Princess Jasmine was voiced by the same actress who did Sheera for MIGHTOR.
ReplyDeleteIn order for more movies or features to be produced by DC they would have to create a new studio or imprint. I cannot see them doing it now unless some creative talent at DC pushed it.
ReplyDeleteSecond month as patron.
Johnny Thunder and The Thunderbolt was on Justice League Unlimited, but were mostly just in the background.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it was a fun cover to produce! Nice job....
ReplyDeleteIt'll never happen, but I'd love to have an Archive (or similar collection) of the Johnny Thunder stories from Flash Comics. I've heard that in the later stories, the Thunderbolt's wife and mischievous son became supporting characters.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing Johnny Thunder, or at least Thunderbolt in the JLU cartoon. Too bad JLU never really expanded on the other members.
ReplyDelete@Lakero45: Too bad they didn't form a singing group like the Von Trapps or the Cowsills. They could have called themselves...The REAL Fifth Dimension!
ReplyDeleteI actually attended a concert by some members of the latest generation of Von Trapps, just a few years ago. A pleasant evening, and I'd go again if they return to this town.
