Transformers and Steel

John Henry Irons is another character that I'd love to see in live action - done right this time (sorry, Shaq). It looks like we will see Superman's resurrection at some point in Justice League, so that rules out the possibility of a "Reign of Supermen" film, which could have been very cool.  Supergirl on the CW seems like another perfect opportunity to feature Steel, I hope the producers don't pass it up!

  1. I wouldn't mind seeing a new version of Steel. But, I'm really not crazy about a tele-version of "Reign of the Supermen." To me, the introduction of Cyborg-Superman was the second most unnecessary thing DC has ever done after the original COIE. It was like they were experimenting with a composite replacement for both Bizarro and xenomorphic-looking Brainiac!

Now, if Hank Henshaw had been struck with a micrometeorite that turned out to be a melanistic parasite, instead, they could have introduced a Bronze Age version of...Black Rock!

  2. Nice cover! Even more fitting? IDW did a miniseries called 'Transformers Evolutions: Hearts of Steel', set in the 1860's-70's, where the Autobots team up with, among other historical figures, John Henry!

They did have a Bronze Age (or 'Dark Age'? 'Modern Age'? between Crisis & Flashpoint, anyhows...), alien-meteorite-powered version of Black Rock...
