The Matt Murdock face off with Wilson Fisk in the second season of Netflix'
Daredevil was one of my favorite scenes of the series. Not only was it a nice place to showcase Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio's acting chops, it offered a hint at a potential direction for Season 3... will we be seeing a
Born Again-inspired storyline?
Kingpin v Blockbuster (II) would be an interesting match...
ReplyDeleteThis match up feels so natural that I half expect it to be released next month... This is a splendid piece, Ross, and a great combination!
ReplyDeleteI agree with ELS -- the cover art, and the match-up, just seem so perfectly matched. I almost feel sorry for poor Wilson, though; he'll never know what hit him! (He'll know who hit him, though.)
ReplyDeleteVincent D'Onofrio? Playing Kingpin as a CAUCASIAN?! Who would've thunk it?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though: it's great to see another member of the Bat-family pitted against Marvel's smoothest criminal. Ever since I read my older brother's Silver Age issue of Spidey (wherein he and JJJ had been chained together in a flooding sewer by Kingpin's mob), I've been delightfully chilled by Wilson Fisk's ruthless cunning and efficiency. It's as if he were Lex Luthor...trapped in the body of a sumo wrestler!
Keep up the good work, Ross. :-)
This reminds me of Nightwing's first enemy in his own series, Blockbuster. The 2 need to team up to take Bludhaven and Nightwing and Daredevil against them.
ReplyDeleteIf Dc and Marvel agree to more crossovers in the future I hope they do one with Mr. Grayson and Mr. Murdock
