It will be interesting to see the new incarnation of Vixen on the upcoming season of DC's
Legends of Tomorrow. I really liked Vixen's appearance on
Arrow last season, it was very faithful to the comics and her powers were visualized well. I realize that this will be a new character, but I hope they don't stray too far from what worked with the Mari McCabe version.
These two heroes have crossed paths
once before...
Another one I'd like to read. It would be very interesting to see how these two characters would work together. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteIf, by straying too far, you mean keeping the eagle-winged cornrow hair-do, CW is more likely to go with the Halle Berry style she had on the JLU animated series.
ReplyDeletePretty cool. What about The Phantom and Axa?
ReplyDeleteAxa?
ReplyDeleteIt's a multi-national insurance company. I'm sorry, Mr. Walker, when you took out your policy you didn't disclose you lived in a cave with no alarm. Neither your minor treasure room nor your major treasure room is covered.
DeleteLet me get this straight, Mrs. Walker. Your husband is the man who cannot die, but you want to pay us for life insurance. This sounds like a scam.
Or the previous poster may have meant https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axa_(comics)

ReplyDeleteDiana Palmer-Walker: "Coverage denied?! All right; that does it. This sounds like a job for...Captain Action!"
For those too young to remember? He was a Hasbro toy whose crime-fighting gimmick was being able to disguise himself as other superheroes. Even the Phantom, Batman, and Superman! DC's Silver Age comic book adaptation of this character attributed that ability to some enchanted coins from ancient Greece.
@Carycomic: wasn't Hasbro, dude. It was Ideal Toys! :P
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, didn't the Defenders of the Earth version of the Phantom have powers similar to Vixen?
ReplyDelete@Above Anon: then the Phantom, in that case, would have to be the grandson of the one from 2020. That's assuming, of course, that the Walker family blood line didn't go extinct with whatever s-f apocalypse brought about the world Axa grew up in.*
ReplyDelete*Which, from what I just read at Wikipedia, sounds like Red Sonja-meets-LOGAN'S RUN.
Probably just the insurance company then
ReplyDeletePhantom vs. AXA insurance. Here's my lawyer. https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/batgirl-and-she-hulk.html?m=1

DeleteEither that, or Capt. Action disguised as Matt "Daredevil" Murdock.
ReplyDeleteStiil need to see the PHANTOM and PHANTOM LADY team-up. Also it would be great to see the PHANTOM team up with The INVADERS. The PHANTOM and The DESTROYER could be an interesting meeting. Both have purple costumes with a skull symbol. Perhaps a yet-to-be-revealed connection?
ReplyDelete@Wolfhammer: if skulls and crossbones are your criteria, then why not the Phantom and the Golden Age Grim Reaper (Wm. Norris)?

and the Black Terror, too?
