Taskmaster Vs. Deathstroke

This is a battle that I would really like to see.  Both are incredible combatants, well versed in many disciplines of fighting and weapons usage.  Plus, they each have become even greater fighters by learning through their many encounters with various super heroes.  As the cover suggests, I feel that it would be close, but I think that Taskmaster would ultimately win this match up.

  1. How do you think he would go against Big Sir from the unmissed Trial of the Flash story arc.

  2. This fight would interest me far more than Deathstroke fighting Deadpool, which is the usual match up. Not sure who would emerge the victor but it would be a massive showdown for sure. :)

  3. Now Ambush Bug vs Deadpool...that's the real battle lol

  4. Well, if Deathstroke's being written by the same person who wrote 'Identity Crisis' then he should be able to beat just about anybody short of Darkseid...

  5. I agree with your analysis, Ross, and Taskmaster would certainly get the eventual upper hand in a full-length story as he learned bits of Deathstroke's fighting skills.

And since Anonymous brought up Ambush Bug... I think it'd be interesting to see Buggy take on Taskmaster. The latter's frustration and aggravation over Ambush Bug's ever-expanding repertoire of insane stunts would be... well, let's just call it engaging.

  6. With all due respect, Ross? I've got to give the edge to Deathstroke. What with all the super-soldier steroids he was given!*

*The Danner Formula, if I remember the nomenclature, correctly.

  8. Taskmaster would lose against Deathstroke unless he had some sort of edge other than straight abilities such as making Deathstroke hesitate due to code of honor - not keeping up with revamped universes but Deathstroke could use 90% of his brain and possessing heightened strength, speed, stamina, endurance and reflexes. While Taskmaster has fought powered foes successfully not at Deathstroke's combination of skill and power.

  9. The unbeatable Squirrel Girl could kick both of their butts!

  10. This is a fantastic pairing since both characters are essentially the same. Taskmaster was created by George Perez during his tenure on the Avengers, and not much later he and Marv Wolfman would introduce Deathstroke in New Teen Titans. They even wore the same boots and similar armor in the early days.

  11. I agree with G.Host. I think Deathstroke has the advantage. Both have computer-like brains, but Taskmaster has a body without powers. Slade has an activated brain plus heightened strength, speed, senses and a healing factor.

    Pls forgive my bad english.

  13. @Anonymous: But, he'd also need the exo-skeleton of Stuart "Rampage" Clarke to come even halfway close to matching Deathstroke's genetically engineered strength, speed, and stamina.
