Superman Vs. The Wrecking Crew

was surprised to hear that a new Superman has been cast for the upcoming season of Supergirl.  I had figured they would want to keep him at a distance so as not to overshadow his cousin.  It will be interesting to see how much the character is utilized and how the costume looks as compared to his big screen counterpart.

  1. First of all, awesome cover. This is a fight I would like to see.

Second...regarding the actor playing Superman on the Supergirl TV series, in my opinion, they should have hired someone little older looking for the role. It seems to me that what is needed in this supporting role is someone to act as a mentor and is therefore somewhat paternal looking.

  2. Casting a new actor to play Superman, in Season 2 of SUPERGIRL, is like delivering steel to Pittsburgh: totally unnecessary. The guy appeared in two episodes, only. And, even then, it was in distorted silhouette. Heck! I don't even know the Season 1 actor's real name!!

The only thing I could determine about his general appearance is that he was Caucasian with dark hair. The classic look first drawn by Siegel and Shuster.

But, enough about the televersion. The real question here is...why are the Wrecking Crew using kryptonite weapons? Has the Man of Steel of Earth-STF become immune to Asgardian magic?

Insurance, maybe. If I were expecting to fight the Man of Steel, I would want some Green K in my corner even if I also had magic! ^_^

  4. Very strange. People are still commenting on "Droidnapped." But, so far, only four comments for _today's_ issue?

  5. Make it five.

How about Gamora and the TMNT vs. Gamera and the Gamorreans from SW: RETURN OF THE JEDI?

  6. Previous anonymous, is it really so amazing that on this website, where people comment on comics going back half a century or more, some of us are still commenting on yesterday's post?
