Of all the various DCU groups and heroes that I have pitted against Galactus, I think that this is the one that I would enjoy seeing the most. The Legion has such a large roster of characters with many different types of power sets, and that would make for an epic battle. I'm thinking that the LSH could really give the Devourer of Worlds a run for his money.
This would be epic!
ReplyDeleteThis would be epic!
ReplyDeleteGalactus versus Matter-Eater Lad.... 'Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how Galactus would fare against someone who once gave the LSH a run for their money; namely, the Infinite Man (Jaxon Rugarth)?
ReplyDeleteor against the Time-Trapper?
ReplyDeleteIf Galactus is 'Feeding Off The Future', I think the Time Trapper would be involved.
ReplyDeleteAnother 'Galactus Vs' that would be interesting would be Galactus Vs. Mordru who is another Legion foe. I also checked and it looks like you haven't done any covers with Mordru yet.
Galactus would also be good to go against Legion of Super-Villains or the Fatal Five.
Galactus would also be a good foe for the Anti-Monitor.
And the Spectre.
And I could go on and on but I'll just stop here.
Ordinaryguy2
Another magnificent cover. Great visuals and a great match-up!
ReplyDeleteGreat cover, Ross! I agree that this would be a true epic! (And I suspect that Brainiac 5 would be the one to figure out the solution.)
ReplyDeleteI second Galactus vs. Spectre; that would be a great battle between two immensely powerful forces.
But never mind "versus Galactus"; I just started to wonder what would happen if Galactus were to choose Doomsday as a Herald?
Thanks, guys!
ReplyDeleteBob, Ordinaryguy - Spectre battled Galactus in STF #1297...
This is a team I should've thought of! The Galactus team ups have all been great, and LSH would be great, and the powers could be well matched. But I still have a love for the actual Marvel Team Up of Galactus with Aunt May, and any oddball characters like Captain Klutz or Groo just makes me laugh!
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping the originality in teams, and the quality in combining the art into a new cover so well.
I always thought of The LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES were like the futuristic equivalent to The ALL-STAR SQUADRON due to the vast ever shifting line-up.
ReplyDeleteNow that would be an interesting team-up. It would be well over 100 characters.
Calling Roy Thomas!
I'd like to see Sonofjack's suggestion. Maybe with Matter-Eater Lad amped by the High Evolutionary!
ReplyDeleteThe Legion is my favorite hero group EVER.
ReplyDeleteI complete my 53rd solar orbit this Friday. If this comic were real, I would definitely want it for my birthday. ^_^
Legion of Superheroes, with their galactic, multi-issue sagas, rather adult/serious tone, and huge, seemingly unending roster, was an intimidating book to get into for a 4th/5th grader like me. Its another book i regret not picking up more at the time, but with a limited allowance, i had to make some crucial decisions at the newstands back then! Going to Comic Book Specialty shops as an adult for me, is reliving those moments back in 1982 or '83 when I had to pass up an issue of LSH for Brave & the Bold or Superman Family.
ReplyDeleteMaybe so, Ross. But, Wildfire would definitely be the first on his plate.
