I am glad that the most recent episode of
Arrow has put the whole Ra's Al Ghul subplot to bed. It made an some interesting diversion, but I would like for the show to be a little more focused on Green Arrow instead of making him a Batman stand in. Even Felicity has become "Overwatch", a wheelchair bound tech expert organizing the team, pretty much Oracle in everything but name.
"I would have gone with Oracle but it was taken"

Here again is one of those pairings that I never had thought of before. This is a great idea. I wish these pairings that you make had a story that could be read, but I find it fun to look at the cover and envision for myself how these plots might develop and consider what dialogue I might put into it if I were writing it myself.
ReplyDeleteJust curious: Have you considered characters from Americomics? They have some cool characters that would match well with Marvel or DC characters. The Shade, for example, in my opinion would make a nice team-up with Dr. Strange or Deadman. Just a thought. Thanks again for what you do.
I must confess that I have never read any Americomics, so I don't know much about their characters.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mickey about this being an interesting pairing that would make for an interesting story. And, somehow, I think there would have to be some sort of Kermit reference.
ReplyDeleteHey, maybe a Green Arrow/Green Hornet team-up some time?
Bob, They've met on here twice before, you can click on the Green Hornet label to see them.
ReplyDeleteGA should take a hint from FAST & FURIOUS 2, and take out the Goblin Glider with an EMP arrow.
ReplyDeleteP.S.---Americomics is an Orlando, Florida-based, indie publisher that specializes in both original superheroes, public domain ones from the Golden Age, and/or an amalgam of both.*
ReplyDelete*She-Cat, for example, is a a pastiche of the Golden Age Black Cat from Harvey Comics. But, with a reincarnation angle similar to the Golden Age Hawkman and Vampirella's friend Pantha.
It also published some material that had originally been commissioned for Charlton, after the latter discontinued its 'Action Heroes' but before those characters were sold to DC. For example, there was a 'Sentinels of Justice #1' teaming-up Captain Atom, Nightshade, the Blue Beetle (Ted Kord version) and the Question, which was planned as the start of a new series... but then DC obtained those characters, so AC created another 'Sentinels of Justice' using some characters of its own with similar concepts: Captain Paragon (already exisiting), Nightveil (already existing; a sorceress, originally an adventuress called 'the Blue Bulleteer' who had been basically a re-named version of the original Phantom Lady but with guns), the Scarlet Scorpion (obviously the BB replacement),'Commando D' (already existing), and Stardust (already existing, an associate of the Captain's...).
ReplyDeleteDang, I should have thought of that (checking GL/GH) myself. :/
ReplyDeleteCool cover Ross, now how about a follow up..... Green Lantern/GReen Goblin!
ReplyDeleteIsaac, Already done in issue #660, check the archives!
