Marvel has said that there will be no new Spider-Man origin tale when the character in introduced to the MCU in Captain America: Civil War and his own solo movie, to avoid unnecessary repetition. Still, they have also maintained that he will be high-school based, so that means that there will still be parallels to the earlier films, at least as far as cast of characters goes. Will Gwen or MJ be the love interest this time around? Or will Marvel introduce them simultaneously perhaps?
Not your best cover, I'm afraid. The characters don't appear to be properly interacting Spidey's thought balloons just seem ridiculous rather than exciting…

ReplyDeleteWell, you managed to capture Sean Connery's "Thunderball" look pretty convincingly. And I can picture MJ being portrayed by a red-headed Sandahl Bergman (from the original "Conan The Barbarian").
ReplyDeleteAs for the next Spidey movie? I'm hoping they introduce Molten Man as the next baddie. If only so we could have a refreshing change of pace with a Pete Parker/Liz Allen relationshipper.

ReplyDeleteI'd add there could and should be a sequel of sorts to this team-up. After all who's to say 007 or his predecessor didn't run into Peter's spy parents back in the day? Just a thought.....
If they really wanted to go a different route for the high school age Spidey the love interest could be Betty Brant. :)

I agree with Anonymous, Harkness, and Dale. Sandahl Bergman is an especially apt analogy, as she would've been perfect as MJ had Hollywood done a Spidey feature film back in the Eighties! But, of course, nowadays, she'd have to play a different role. Perhaps the high-tech jewel thief, Commanda.
