Even though five movies have been made there is still a lot of untapped potential for Spider-Man now that he is joining the Marvel cinematic universe. Mysterio, Kraven and The Vulture have yet to be used, and the Sinister Six as a whole was talked about but never realized onscreen. It will be interesting to see which nemesis will be the first to face of with Tom Holland's web-slinger.
Ooooh! Interesting match-up there Ross. Blue Beetle is no doubt the spiritual brother from another mother to Spidey, so this match-up makes sense. While Ted's at a huge disadvantage by not having the benefit of super-powers, I'm pretty sure he'd be able to either put up a hell of a fight and survive until he can get back-up, or wind up beating them all with his brilliant mind and tech.
ReplyDeleteI've said many times, here and elsewhere, that Spider-Man's rogues' gallery is too big and interesting for movies to do it justice; it really requires a TV series. (Same for Batman.) I'd really like for Marvel to realize that, and produce one for just that reason.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I agree with Dale's assessment of this story. I do think Ted would be hard-pressed against these villains even with his tech, though his sharp mind would let him win out in the end.
I imagine he has remote backup from the Beetle Bug that they aren't anticipating...
ReplyDeleteI'd vote for the Tinkerer.
