I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming
Supergirl TV series. I hope that it looks to the success of
The Flash, and puts an emphasis on the superheroics, rather than too much teenage melodrama. The Costume looks good (needs yellow in the S shield, though) and I love that Linda Danvers adopted parents will be played by Dean Cain and Helen Slater. I have to admit that what really has me intrigued is the promise of Red Tornado showing up on the first season!
From where is the Supergirl picture? I've never seen that version of her.
ReplyDeleteSuperman Family Adventures.

ReplyDeletePlease, please, say that that's going to be the FIRST 'Red Tornado'!
^_^
Hr'rmm, you haven't used her in a cover yet, have you?
It'll be the T.O. Morrow robot, as he is also going to be on the show.
ReplyDeleteI have used Ma Hunkle twice, one with Batman and once as a member of The Union Suit Squad
Hunkel that is
ReplyDeleteI'm cautiously optimistic myself, too.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that CBS picked up on such a "young" show. CBS, like the other major networks - NBC, ABC and Fox - have not always been kind to super-hero series. Of course, up until, say, Smallville, production values tended to be "cheesy".
Awesome! Is that the Supergirl of DC Chibi-Earth?
ReplyDeleteP.S.---how about the PowerPuff Girls and Monkey (of DEXTER'S SECRET LABORATORY fame) vs. Mojo Jojo?

Ah. Good. I'll have to look for those covers.
How about giving us a team-up between the first and second Red Tornadoes... maybe even with the third (from post-Flashpoint E2, with Lois Lane's personality) added as well?
I hadn't heard about Dean Cain and Helen Slater in this. That is definitely a stunt-casting win.
