I think that Magneto holds the distinction for most film appearances by a comic book villain.
X-Men: Apocalypse will mark his 6th time as part of an X-movie. Lex Luthor is hot on his heels though, with his 5th film appearance coming up - and if rumors of his appearing in
Suicide Squad are true, he will have his sixth turn as well. Doctor Polaris is still waiting patiently.
I have to say, Ross, that from an artistic standpoint this is one of your best works yet. It looks like a unit piece, almost like it was done by one artist (or, at worst, two in deliberate collaboration).
ReplyDeleteI can see how this could work as a story, too: focus on the dealings between these two individual, culminating in a big knock-down drag-out between the two, leaving the JLA and the X-Men to try to bring it to an end and prevent collateral casualties.
In an actual one-on-one between these two? My (non-magnetic paper) money is on big Daddy M.
ReplyDeleteBy "most film appearances by a comic book villain" I presume you're considering only villains who actually ORIGINATED in the comics?
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, Magneto would fall a long way behind either Dracula or Hitler...
For Lex Luthor it will actually be six if you count Lyle Talbot as Luthor in the movie serial "Atom Man vs Superman"
