The Falcon's guest appearance in
Ant-Man was my favorite scene of the movie. I liked the new costume, which we only saw for a second in
Avengers: Age of Ultron, and appreciated the addition of more red to it. Even though the movie's star got the upper hand in the battle, The Falcon still came off very well. I look forward hm having an even larger role in
Captain America: Civil War, and hopefully his pet falcon Redwing will get introduced somewhere down the line.
Batman and The Falcon met
once before, way back in
B&B The Lost Issues...
i hear redwing will be a drone so no live bird to rely on
ReplyDeleteI really like the live-action Falcon! I think he's really translated well. I would really like to see more of him, War Machine and Black Widow.
ReplyDeleteIs it just a weird coincidence that the sign on top of that cab says "Dallek" (sic)? That would be a reference to the Daleks (from Doctor Who), which might explain why tempers are flying so high....
ReplyDeleteHi Ross. Do you think it's time for television to take another shot at Birds of Prey? When they first tried it, the original Spider-Man and X-Men trilogies were redefining how to make live-action super hero movies, and the Dark Knight trilogy was still in the future. With the success of Flash, Arrow, and Daredevil in the wake of those and the slew of other super hero movies now though, I think the time might finally be ripe for the Birds. Personally, I'd love to see it where Barb is still just Batgirl, and set on Earth-Two. Yes, you'd have to retcon a LOT of course, but it'd be a great way not only to give Gotham's ladies the spotlight, but also bring in Earth-Two heroes in guest star slots who will likely never otherwise see the big or small live-action screens. Well, however they do it, I'd love to see someone give live-action Birds of Prey another go.
ReplyDeleteSure, but I bet it won't happen until Gotham is over.
ReplyDeleteThis cover takes me back to the 70's.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect. Just a beautiful cover.
ReplyDeleteWith a title like "Trafficking in Deception," I have to suspect that one or the other of them was framed by some super-villainous impersonator (like Clayface or the Chameleon).
ReplyDeleteBronze Age Batman rules!
ReplyDeleteGreat cover! The posing makes it look like a defeated Batman is trying to slip away unnoticed in a taxi, maybe the Batmobile was wrecked by Falcon already. At first glance I didn't notice it was a cab and thought Bats was busted trying to boost a car. A perfect street-level crime for Sam Wilson to be breaking up.
ReplyDeleteThis cover is so money its not even funny. Obviously the imposter is Batman, but damn what a shot of Batman leaving in a cab.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dale - you picked up on exactly the scenario I had in mind.
