Iron Man enters The House of Mystery

Comic books have had a lot of horror hosts, and Cain was always my favorite.  I loved his look as well as the dark humor with which he would present his twisted morality tales and monster stories.  It was also fun to see him interact with fellow host Abel.  He never passed up the opportunity to play the older brother role and give the House of Secrets host a hard time.

  1. Back in the late Seventies/early Eighties, there was an issue of INVINCIBLE IRON MAN that was done as a one-shot filler because of the Dreaded Deadline Doom. And it featured a rain-soaked Tony Stark being stranded at a Victorian Gothic mansion in the middle of nowhere. Only to have to go into action against the female mad scientist inhabiting it!

This cover fondly reminds me of that. For which, I thank you.

  2. I always enjoyed Cain and Abel's interaction in the Sandman comics. I then picked up two or three copies of the original House of Mystery at my comic book shops.

If they ever rebooted House of Mystery I would gıve ıt a shot, but somethıng tells me ıt would suck. Not a fan of comıcs these days.

  5. Dark Horse has been doing color reboots of Eerie and Creepy and they're generally on the nose.
