Kamandi and Rima

I remember noting that Rima was one of the few heroines able to make the leap from comics to animation with her appearances on The Super Friends.  I always thought that would bring her new levels of popularity, but I don't remember seeing her anywhere for decades after that.  It's too bad, her short-lived comic was beautifully illustrated by the likes of Nestor Redondo and Joe Kubert.

  1. I always liked Rima, but it bugged me to see her on Super Friends, since her series was set in 1904.

  2. If I'm not mistaken, Rima was dragged into that mess with Doc Savage, The Avenger, and The Spirit that DC did just before the NEW 52 happened.

  3. This would have made a much better team up, than that Silver Age B&B issue, following Kamandi's involuntary time travel at the end of his original series run.

  4. What about a team-up of Kamandi and Y the Last Man?

  5. I was, of course, referring to the often (justly) maligned BRAVE AND THE BOLD #157 from 1979.

  6. I must confess I haven't read much of Y, but that sounds like a natural pairing!
