Wonder Woman and Thor in: "The Amazon Queen of Asgard!"

It seems that Loki will be front and center as a villain once more in the third installment of the Thor film franchise, but I hope that some more of the Thunder God's rogues gallery will get a chance to do their thing.  The Enchantress or The Wrecking Crew would be great to see and would give the movie a different feel.  I am sure Wonder Woman's movie will deal with her mythological foes, but I wouldn't mind seeing some version of The Cheetah in there as well.

  1. in thor 3 i feel if executioner and enchantress arent used then use sutur or ulik the troll and the blood brothers or have some tie in to beta ray bill

  2. I second Enchantress and The Executioner. As much as I like Loki as a villain - even an ambiguous villain that can play both sides to his own ends, I think he should be a background character and let other rogues take some spotlight.

I've read Chris Sims make a case that a Wonder Woman film needs to be like a Thor film - part fantasy Sword and Sorcery and myth mixed with contemporary settings. I'm not sure how I feel about the Finches taking over the writing and art on the Wonder Woman comic...

  3. Ah, yes: the superheroic icons of Greek and Norse mythologies! I recall them having a couple of cool moments in the Marvel vs. DC mini-series.

Speaking of Thor, is there any chance you could arrange for him to meet Dot Warner (of Animaniacs fame)? I'd love to see her jump into his arms and call out, "Hellooooooo Norse!"

  4. Her and Lady Sif. That would be one hell of a cat fight.

  5. It couldn't have been easy to find a Kirby drawn Wonder Woman. Excellent work!

  6. If I had to find a Kirby Wonder Woman, I'd check the three "Super Powers" mini-series first. Failing that, I'd check the wraparound covers of DC's Dollar Comics. When Kirby briefly returned to Marvel (1976-1978) they made full use of his availability and had him sporadically draw covers for nearly everything they did, including titles like "Defenders" and Marvel Premiere features he never had any connection to. DC never really used him that much outside of his own titles.

  7. How about a second installment of Wonder Woman and Thor, this time teaming up against an alliance between Loki and DC's version of Ares? *That* would be a team-up I would totally kill to see!

  9. THOR and WW need a Marvel/DC crossover romance ;)

Love the classic cover look, perfect!

Totally agree Enchantress needs to be in the film franchise, its really a crime she hasn't yet and its gotta be the most stunning blonde actress to pull it off too. Wrecking Crew loved them since Secret Wars, totally down with that as well!

  10. @Air Dave: Well, they introduced Surtur in THOR III! And the Grandmaster as well (albeit, a dummed-down narcissistic version underwhelmingly played by Jeff Goldblum).
