The Flash and The Whizzer in "Fatal Finish Line!"



With characters like Firestorm slated to appear, the upcoming Flash series sounds like it will be fully embracing its comic boot roots, and I think that's a very good thing.  More than any other character, The Flash has always been involved with Earth Two, so I hope that the original Flash, Jay Garrick, will play a part in the series eventually.  Parallel Earths would be a very cool concept to explore in the series.

    Awesome work Ross!

    Damn, this one needs to be done for real, no chance of that though while they have that horrible New52 version of Jay out at DC :(

    Don't get me wrong, Earth 2 is one of the better, if not best New52 title about but miss the old JSA, Alan and Jay, new versions kinda suck.

    Absolutely love the way you did this cover!

    Ah, now THIS is the Flash/Whizzer cover I've been waiting for! The first two were excellent as well, don't get me wrong, but this is fantastic. Tremendous job Ross; for me, any crossover involving one of the Flashes or Johnny Quick and either Whizzer or Quicksilver is a win. Many thanks.

    I agree with you, Ross -- "The Flash" would be just the series for exploring DC's many parallel Earths, starting with Earth-Two.

    Also, the more I hear about the New52, the more it looks to me like DC's shot themselves in the foot with a Howitzer.

    It just now occurred to me that you could have snuck my character Speed Bump into the background as an "also ran" (pun very much intended). I don't think anyone would have understood what was up, but it might have been an interesting in-joke. (Or not.)
