Brian Bolland can illustrate just about anything, but if there was a single character that he was born to draw, it's The Joker. I had many issues with the story in
The Killing Joke, but the artwork in it is stunning - even more so when you see the re-colored pages in the new edition that was recently released. If you are a fan of his work, I highly reccomend
The Art of Brian Bolland and
Cover Story: The DC Comics Art of Brian Bolland, two great books which contain tons of great art and insights from the artist.
I actually seriously doubt Iron Man could take down the Joker. You'd need the evil genius of Magneto (being good) to match Jokers' insanity. The Joker is..uh...no joke.
ReplyDeleteI like this clash - on one hand a man representing rationalism and science, but with a lot of personal issues an inner demons and on the other a personalized chaos and madness who is a lot smarter and more cunning that he gives an impression to be. Order vs Chaos.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I came here to pitch you the idea of Animal Man vs Kraven the Hunter, but it really pales in comparision.
The Iron Red Hood!
ReplyDeleteno way joker could beat iron man hes bulletproof gas filters to stop jokers venom gas insulated against jokers shock buzzer in hand and maniac strength vs science no contest
ReplyDeleteyou should do cerebus and peter porker spider ham
ReplyDeleteI liked this one-- a nice change from pairing similar characters from different companies.

ReplyDeleteAs long as he's at a safe distance, Tony should be able to fry the Joker with repulsors. Can you do Robocop vs the Joker?
