Supergirl Vs. Magneto

Would Kryptonite be able to be controlled by Magneto?  For the purposes of this story, I'm going to say yes.  Let's hope the Maid of Might has a contingency plan!

  3. @Det. Tobor: next up? Bullwinkle vs. Two-Face! ;-)

@Ross: actually, Ross, given the fact that spent-kryptonite turns to iron in the mainstream DC multiverse, you've got plot-plausibility on your side in this speculation.

  4. The contingency plan probably involves three members of the LSH. Namely, Cosmic Boy, Brainiac 5, and Matter-Eater Lad!

  5. Kryptonite was usually considered to be a post-uranium element in older DC Comics, and all such elements are classified as metals. So yeah; why wouldn't Magneto be able to control it?

    2. I, too, agree with Jason. Certainly it's been treated as a metal, or at least as an ore, in everything I've seen.

  6. I was thinking no, but the other comments are convincing me. Besides, even if it wouldn't normally, maybe these chunks have trace amounts of metals that would help, right?

Also, having Supergirl here is great for my birthday! Thanks, Ross!

  7. I can't help noticing how much this version of Magneto resembles Syrene's sorcerous husband from Action Comics v.1/#527 (Jan. 1982). Which one of the artists at the bottom drew him?

  8. On a sort of related note: apparently scientists have discovered an element that has the EXACT same chemical composition as Kryptonite, but without the green color. I believe it's called jadarite (or something similar.)

    1. Does it, by any chance, come from LHS 2520 in the constellation Corvus?
