Let's hope that bucket on his head is bulletproof! I always thought Nova's helmet was cool, but it's probably going to be hard to present effectively in live action. Marvel took a swing at it with the Nova Corps helmets in Guardians of the Galaxy, but they didn't really work for me. Hopefully if Nova himself shows up eventually, there will be a redesign.
These two first clashed in STF #5089...

Maybe Marvel Films will take inspiration from Starlord's battle mask (in the GOTG trilogy) and have the mask seemingly fold up into manga hammer-space. So that whoever plays Rich Rider in a feature film will have as much face time as Tobey Maguire did in 2004's "Spider-Man 2" (during the runaway train scene)!
ReplyDeleteIt's either that or have Sinestro give Nova a Yellow Lantern power ring. So he can will up a yellow version of the helmet that Kyle Rayner willed up using his Red Lantern power ring!*
ReplyDelete*Come to think of it? That could be a "story arc" here, in itself. Sinestro handing out Yellow Lantern rings as often as the Rossverse GL Corps have handed out the verdant ones.
In the meantime, it would seem that Joker has found another weapon that can seemingly bend the laws of physics. As Nova was evidently successful in recovering the Ultimate Nullifier from him (@ STF #5089 this past March 20).
