Continued from yesterday's cover, we now see where Zatara was sending Cliff Secord. Most of you probably saw this one coming. Zatanna looks a little like Cliff's girlfriend Jenny - hope fully that won't be too much of a distraction for him.

Hopefully, her outfit will prove more of a distraction for whatever villain they're double-teaming. I know that if I were a super-villain, she wouldn't need to utter one syllable of backward-speak. One look at her gorgeous legs and I'd surrender to her, immediately, peaceably,, and unconditionally!

Zatanna contacts dad for a helper that she couldn't get in her time??WOW!. Can't wait for the story.
ReplyDeleteThe coolest part here is that, even though this cover and yesterday's have no artists in common, they look like they were drawn as a deliberate pair.
DeleteI'd have to wonder about Part 1 of the story. What would happen to fill up a single full-length issue that was basically all about sending Cliff to the (relative) future, not actually making the trip until the last page? Perhaps the villain of the present-day situation sent minions to interfere with Zatara finding the Rocketeeer? If so, that would narrow down the list of suspects.
Another question for the reader is, why the Rocketeer? Why did the Zataras (one or both of them) figure Cliff Secord was the vitally-needed person to figure out Zatanna's mystery? That could also narrow down the possibilities.
My guess would be a particularly insidious and sneaky Kang variant.
Oh, a couple of asides here:

2. Someone mind that rabbit who's messing with her wand. It may be inconsequential, it may be a calamity waiting to happen... or it may be the culprit.
1) Maybe it's a Kang variant working in cahoots with sometime-Flash villain Abra Kadabra.
Delete2) If so, that rabbit might actually be a robot (a la the Spider-man-droid who once took on the Avengers single-handed)!
Or, as at one stage in the 'Bombshells' reality, it may be John Constanttine whom Zatanna has chose -- for whatever reason -- to transform.
