Blue Beetle Vs. Kraven the Hunter

Time for another all-Ditko classic!  In addition to character design, Ditko was also a master of battle sequences, so I would expect this issue to be a true visual masterpiece.

  1. Now this is the action we're cravin'!

  2. My first thought with the Ditko art was to ask for a Speedball Blue Beetle team-up, but it looks like you've never done a Blue Beetle/Spider-Man meeting either. Do the bug boys need a pairing? BB has fought a few of Spidey's rogues so maybe they should face off against the Madmen or one of Ted's other enemies.

    1. Sad-but-true. The closest version to that was Blue Beetle's face-off against the entire Sinister Six @ STF #1291 (from Oct. of eleven years ago).

  3. Kraven still ha a fixation for animal-themed heroes, huh? I wonder if he'll ever go after the Purple Tigress or Marga the Panther Woman?

    1. If nothing else, pitting Kraven against Marga might also enable a long-overdue match-up between him and Wildcat!

  4. Nice but my only criticism is the need for more contrast between the background and the Beetle's outfit color.

  5. Spider-Man has met all three blue Beetles on the Blog - Ted Kord twice at least.

  6. He's also met JR, twice. Though, the last time was back in January of 2021. And he's met the Golden Age Dan Garret version only once! So, in both those regards, another Spidey/BB reunion is kind of overdue.

  8. Kraven does seem like the kind of guy who'd go after Mr. Tawky Tawny.

    1. Hey! There's an idea. Kraven vs. the modern Red Hood over Tawky Tawny! Jason Todd being like a grandnephew (or something) of Tawky's foster dad; Thomas Todd.

  10. Thanks Jenny, I liked it as well - that's why for once I decided not to clutter with captions, titles or speech balloons,.
