Uh oh, Mr. Universe is back to menace the heroes of STF once again! This time though, he's facing one who has met him before - Firestorm battled him alongside Mar-Vell in STF #4735. Hopefully that experience and the help of Space Ghost will give him an edge this time around.

SPaaaccee Ghooosssttt!! YES!! Dealing with so many energy constructs, may give S.G. the boost to deal with this problem. Firestorm may see some new fighting styles here.
ReplyDeleteI think it's safe to assume that the hope expressed by Robotman 2 was dashed (and the entire Synthetic Six irreparably smashed) back @ STF #5110.
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to look like the only one who might be able to clobber Mr. Universe for good is the Death-dealer From The Deep!
ReplyDeleteEither that or Mangog.
Delete;-D
Nah! He's gonna be too busy battling Thor and GL Godzilla.
DeleteOnly if Mangog becomes a Red Lantern!
DeleteMr. Universe looks very familiar but I can' place the face, is that Giffen's art work and from where? the only reason I ask is because he's so mysterious and shows up with some of the strangest heroes.
ReplyDeletethat's a Keith Giffen figure from a Legion issue in the early 80's , i forget which issue number .
ReplyDeleteYes he started out as a Giffen image from LSH 290
ReplyDeleteOh,. yeah! An Apokoliptian clone of Orion and/or Kalibak, if memory serves.
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteRandom thought: Ben Grimm and the Phantom Stranger visit Hawkins, Indiana for a story titled "Stranger Thing."
ReplyDeleteBob, see STF # 2323: https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2018/08/challengers-of-unknown-and-thing-in.html
ReplyDeleteThen, how about a sequel where they visit Eerie, Indiana? Picture Ben Grimm holding a crying infant in his stony orange hands while the Challs ask the titular question...
Delete"HOOSIER DADDY?"
Aw rats -- the title's taken. Maybe just "Phantom Stranger Things"?
DeleteOr "An Unkindness Of Strangers" guest-starring Overmind's arch-enemy?
DeleteOr the Power Pack visit Hawkins in "The Strangeness of Kinders."
Delete@Anon429: #goodpun1/2ofBob'scookiejar.
ReplyDeleteBut, I'd much prefer the Wacky Racers visit Hawkins' nearest neighboring town in "Eerie Go, Again!"
