Deadman Vs. Doctor Doom
Leave it to Victor Von Doom to figure out mystic barriers against possession. This could be a interesting match up, especially if Doom was somehow aware of Boston Brand's presence.
Yeah, Doom's an even worse narcissistic spoilsport than Luthor! What the doc occasionally does to others with that Ovoid body-swapping trick, he will never permit being done to him. As he, himself, might put (in the typical 3rd person): "Doom will never permit himself to take what he dishes out. And what he is forced to take he will not keep. But, return it to the original sender twofold!"
I wouldn't be surprised if Doom somehow learned about Deadman and what he can do, decided he can make use of it somehow (make him take over Reed Richards and do something utterly embarrassing to ruin his public image - something that Deadman might *not* flat out refuse to do with the right persuasion) and used the Darkhold to lure him in and then entrap him. He might even offer to help Deadman in some way (resolve his problems so he can go on to the Afterlife, or whatever Deadman's personal quest now is) in exchange for a "tiny little favor"... only of course planning to break his word even if Deadman agrees.

ReplyDeleteYeah, Doom is infamous for breaking his word once he's derived whatever benefits him and/or Latveria from such a promise.
ReplyDeleteP.S.---how about Eclipso vs. Jack of Hearts? With or without them being pawns in a chess game between Two-Face and the Grandmaster!
DeleteVictor deals in energies. Probably has energy devices monitoring for any energy deviation everywhere! Boston may have a few snags to work around!!
ReplyDeleteLike the PKE meters used by the Ghost Busters?
ReplyDeleteProbably.
