Captain America and Green Arrow in: "A High-Rise Heist!"
I was surprised to realize that I had gone this far without featuring a team up between these two heroes. To make up for it, here's a Golden Age adventure - And up next tomorrow will be a Bronze Age style cover featuring them together as well.
Anon851 brings up a valid point. I remember that one Road Trip story where the Green Team went up against the employers of impoverished coal miners living under the tyranny of ex-Nazi foot soldiers hired as mining company security guards! Naturally, pre-Bicentennial GA was on the miners' side. But, how would he view Wategate-era Cap; as an ally or verbal antagonist?
Excellent! Though for a brief moment I wondered whether that was Starro hiding in plain sight on Cap's back. Which makes me wonder: have you ever done a cover featuring Starro and various star-spangled heroes? Starro might blend in better, and have a better chance of conquering the earth, if instead of attaching himself to people's faces he (they?) instead simply took advantage of the prominent stars on so many heroes' costumes.
P.S.---- speaking of whacky suggestions, how about Godzilla vs. The Jabberwock? Guest-starring Capt. Carrot and the Zoo Crew (during "The Oz-Wonderland War")!
Technically, either one or both of them was still a member of a WWII-era super-group, during those first two team-ups. But, then again, you never specified that today's cover was their first ever _one-on-one_ team-up!
In the proto-Robin outfit that he wore as a disguise when he was being tutored by GCPD Detective Harvey Harris in crime scene investigation techniques?
I can't wait to see tomorrow's cover. My guess is that it is Nomad-era cap on th road with the Hard-Traveling-hero Ollie.
ReplyDeleteEither way, I am curious what Ollie calls a "creeping moral cancer."
No matter what love the idea. Fine job.
Or, it could even be a photo cover with Chris Evans and Stephen Amell… OR, if he wanted to REALLY have fun, maybe Chris Evans and Justin Hartley!

ReplyDeleteOr, even worse, what if he tried to take over Sesame Street by making Big Bird look like a star-bellied sneetch???
DeleteOr, worst of all...what if he tried to take over Bikini Bottom by impersonating Patrick?!

DeleteI'd rather see "King Kong vs. Godzilla On The Planet of the Apes.".
DeleteBecause "Godzilla In Wonderland" is already being done by IDW.
DeleteWait, never??? Really??? I could've sworn I'd seen these two team-up at some point…
ReplyDeleteBen's right, Ross. See STF #3372 @ 7/7/2021.

DeleteHell of a team up! The early caring guys...now if early Bruce Wayne were there too!
