Aquaman and The Tick

This issue would be especially fun if Aquaman had his boisterous personality from Batman: The Brave and the Bold.  That version of the Sea King would get along famously with The Tick!

  1. Maybe the one-armed Aquaman could meet Captain Hook.

    2. or perhaps Killer Croc could do so?

    3. I'd prefer to see Killer Croc take on Amos Moses.*

*In the form of Jerry Reed from "The New Scooby Doo Movies" circa 1972.

  2. @anon The notion of Aquaman hooking up with Captain Hook has got me...hooked.

  3. @Ross: in this pic, he looks more p.o.'d at him! And justifiably so! On the other hand, you did provide me the best early morning sight gag. this side of Deviantart. So, thank you for that! :-)

    "What?" "What?"

    1. Ah, yes! Mera's Silver Age brother-in-law. Which makes me wonder if there wasn't some intermarriage between the refugee Kryptonians and Vruunians on Mesozoic Earth (post-Adventure Comics v.1/#333).

  6. Maybe Chairface Chip. could make his (laser) mark on the Atlantis dome in the way he did the moon in the 90s cartoon series.

    1. Actually, Anon, I suspect that Aquaman vs. Chairface Chippendale is probably about as likely as my dream of Negasonic Teenage Warhead vs. the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight.

  8. It's such a small problem...Atom or Brainiac might make a difference if possible. Is Kandor around on this Earth?

  9. No, I think he's still in Xebel (Dimension Aqua) with Mera's sister Hila.

  10. Incidentally, it looks like Aquaman got rescued from Billy's aquarium (@ STF #792), alright. But, considering that he's only appeared once in the entire history of the Ross-verse, I'd have to say that Jabberjaw sacrificed his own freedom in that rescue! Oh, well. Maybe he can teach his new cellmates to sing and play rock music.

    "Hey-hey! We're the Sea Monkees!"

  11. @ reply to Bob G. = I meant for Chairface C. to attack a DC Atlantean (not just Aquaman) with a Tick-verse hero. For example the all-blue costumed Tick & the all-green costumed Mera in a "Sea-green Sofa Situation" courtesy of C. Chippendale (tho he'd probably be the foe for Ch'p & Dale 's next outing).

    1. My retrospective apologies to Anon443: I initially thought he was mentioning a Dick Tracy villain who never made it into that classic comic strip. But, it turns out Chairface Chippendale really is an animated cartoon criminal! So, I must take some aspirin with my morning cup of coffee before remounting the saddle of my usual high-horse.

  13. How about the Hanna-Barbera version of Moby Dick going up against Lovecraft's Cthulhu?
