Green Lantern Vs. The Super Skrull in: "Beaten to a Pulp!"

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer had Johnny Storm using the entire team's powers in a moment evocative of the Super-Skrull.  Secret Invasion featured Emilia Clarke as a character with Super Skrull abilities.  These were both just teases though, we really need to see the one true Super Skrull up on the big screen some day.

These two first battled in STF #3172...

  1. Not bad. But a sequel to the GL/Rom team-up (in STF #1100 from 10 years/5 months ago) would be even better!

  2. Aside from Sue's force field, Hal's experiences should have him in great shape against this FF imposter. Now if SUPER Skrull went against Sinestro, that would be ....Striking!!

  3. It is a nice joke to call him The SUPER -Skrull at Marvel!!

  4. I don't know if either Simreeve or Bob Greenwade might've beaten me to requesting this. But, how about a cover depicting Ben 10 (in one of his alien forms) getting mistaken for a Pokemon (and consequently getting captured) by Team Rocket?

    1. Not me, I've only barely heard of Ben 10.

  5. Surprised nobody has mentioned the reference in Super Skrull's comment - I even put a clue in the title...

  6. @Anon@12:25: I didn't suggest that, but I think it's a clever idea. And now that you mention it, Lockheed could suffer the same fate....

@Ross: Even though you've pointed it out, I don't recognize the reference.

    1. Way too much Fiction to know some great stand alone lines. Sorry, Ross.

    2. Well, that explains it in my case; I'm aware of that movie, but never seen it.

  8. It either refers to those cheap anthology magazines from the 1930's-40's...or Minute Maid Orange Juice.

  9. *Sigh!* Face it, Ross. You'd have an easier time getting snakes on to Air Force One.

    1. @Anon840: you mean, aside from the orange-haired one whose rants make him sound like he overdosed on Tylenol?

  11. Nice job. Can we see the Crimson Fox team up with maybe Tigra or Hellcat at some point?

    1. That's right. Both of the D'Aramis twins should still be alive in the Ross-verse! :-)
