Thunderbolts and Plastic Man
Yes, Eel O'Brien also has a past working outside the law, but would this team made up of former members of the Masters of Evil tolerate his humor and antics? I'm not quite sure about that, but I bet it would make for an interesting read.
How well they'd take to him would depend on where in their history they are. Early on, somebody would probably try to kill him. A bit further on, they'd be annoyed at first but eventually decide, "What the heck, let's just roll with it."
This may be a reach but the real story is one of the Thunderbolts HASN'T really gone straight. (And that's why Batman got Plas to try to join and expose the rotten apple.)
Plas, you traitor! What's the matter; Terrifics ain't good enough for you, anymore?
ReplyDeleteThat's probably the same reason he was never allowed to join the Expansion Team. He stretched their patience too thin, as well.

ReplyDeleteOf course, that's just an uneducated guess.
It's still a good one...in that it doesn't stretch plausibility, too far.
DeleteHaving worked with the J.L., they might try to s l o w l y pump info on them from him. interesting idea.
ReplyDeleteAs Moonstone's a trained psychiatrist, I don't think it woud be stretching a point to say she'd be the best one for that task!
Delete@Anon454: Hey! Leave some puns for the rest of us (especially Det. Tobor and Bob Greenwade).

ReplyDeleteIt requires no stretch of the imagination to figure out that it's Citizen V.
Delete@Anon509: And you've stretched the supply of grudgingly tolerable puns, too far.
Delete@Carycomic: Messrs. Greenwade and Tobor must be on vacation.
ReplyDeleteP.S. @ Ross: how about the Thunderbolts and Dan Brereton's the Nocturnals teaming up against some of the monsters from Moonstone Comics?
