Aquaman and The Hulk in: "Hulk Splash!"
Aquaman and the Hulk first met way back in STF #344, and I thought that it was high time for them to cross paths again. Especially when I realized that I had missed out on using such an obvious story title!
All Arthur has to do is have a squid shoot ink at Hulk's eyes. Hulk tries to roar, he has a problem. If Hulk slaps his hands, anything might happen. Potentials.
This reminds me of a series of memes featuring screenshots of the DCEU Justice League, with revised lines from the first Avengers movie. Basically, Batman giving orders to the others similarly to how Captain America did, ending with, "And Aquaman? Splash." Hilarious!
On an unrelated note, with Rick and Morty having just premiered a new season, and Phineas and Ferb their series revival, I can't help thinking it'd be cool to see the two duos meet here, maybe with a side character or two from one show or the other! I know you've had Rick and Morty here before, how familiar are you with Phineas and Ferb?
I recommend checking it out, personally. Noticing some of the other cartoons you like, I think you'd really enjoy Phineas and Ferb, and with the show returning, it's a great time to check out the more classic episodes. One episode even had them becoming a superhero called the Beak, which now that I think of it, would be a great addition to the Legion of Awesome!
@Cary Operation: Hawk seemed to be all about specifically characters with Hawk right in their names, so the Beak doesn't fit there. He/they also doesn't actually have wings, so I think WC is out too. And isn't part of BoP's appeal that they're all female?
The Legion of Awesome, though, possibly my favorite team ever created here, and fits the Beak perfectly!
I like this but you need to do a Grey Hulk and a Hook Aquaman and throw in Spider-Man 2099 and Earth Angel Supergirl. I can think of no better way to remember Peter David.
Ross you splashed it out of the park!
ReplyDeleteHow does Hulk breathe?
ReplyDeleteAnyway he wants.
Delete*Ba-DUM-boom!*
Hulk can hold his breath for a long, long time.

ReplyDeleteOoh! There's an idea for a sequel. Hulk meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

Never seen Phineas and Ferb at all.

DeleteNot Operation: Hawk, Wing Command, or even the Birds of Prey? :-(

But, would they be taking on each other? Or joining forces against Ed, Edd, and Eddie?
ReplyDeleteI think it more likely that they'll be joining forces against those Pringle-eating cyborgs (from that pre-COVID commercial).
Delete@Anon727: my own personal mental jury is still out on that one.

ReplyDeleteNow, those guys _deserve_ to be in a Legion of Lo---I mean, Awesome!
DeleteHow about a sequel featuring the Hulk vs. Billy's pets from STF #792? Tentative title: HEY, HEY, WE'RE THE SEA MONKEYS!
