We've all seen Pym Particles being used for time travel by now - so who's to say that Hank Pym's deadliest creation could not get hold of some for some decades-spanning shenanigans? It might be cool to see how the Squadron reacts to the modern villain crashing their timeline.
Well, if one has to be technical, "he" already has. Once @ STF #1117. Then, later, @ STF #1573. But, rest assured, that definitely does not detract from this morning's cover! It inspires so many mental images for a sequel. Like, say, G.I. Jake and the Robo Force leading a counter-attack. Or Magnus the Robot Figher coming to the rescue as part of a rematch. Or even Ultron and Brainiac having a tug-of-war for the affections of Mekanique (a la Batman, Batgirl, and Wonder Woman)!!
ReplyDeleteThis would HAVE to be written by Roy Thomas. (I'd love to see a villainous team-up between Ultron and the Ultra-Humanite.)
ReplyDeleteThe key player in fight is not even shown. Amazing Man will touch Ultrron and then it will be Adamantium Man vs Ultron battle.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree it has to be written by Roy Thomas - he helped create Ultron.
the question is Where are we on Ultron's timeline. He's met many, but he is a product of his time. Tony vs Ultron is one thing, but Ultron vs Lex (already done) is something else. Ltron hasn't been shown to react to magiic. Dr Fate might be a problem to him. But would Ultron be able to handle Darkseid?
ReplyDeleteUltron linked up to/with Amazo might prove magic-tolerant.
DeletePym particles for time travel has been done in the MCU, of course, but has it been done in the comics?
ReplyDeleteI don't see Ultron using Pym Particles to time travel. He did not do it when Wolverine and Invisible Woman went back in time to stop the Age of Ultron. I do see Per Degaton taking him back to the past. Perhaps to have him mate with Mekanique since Jocasta and Alkhema turned against him.
ReplyDeleteOK! Scott has seconded one of my motions. Everybody else in favor? Post a smiley emoji. :-)
DeleteAgree Degaton is likely cause of Ultron being transported in time.
DeleteGreat match-up. Nicely done.
