The Rocketeer and Iron Man (The Movie!)
What if Iron Man survived using the Infinity Gauntlet, and it was he who chose to return the stones throughout history? Perhaps we could have seen an adventure like this! The Rocketeer and Iron Man faced off against Godzilla in STF #538...
I would've loved this as a movie if it had starred the Campbell Kids! Bill Campbell, of course, reprising his breakthrough role as Cliff Secord. And Bruce Campbell (not really any relation as far as I know) as Tony Stark*
*There was talk of casting him in the role back in the Nineties. But, apparently, that was just an idle rumor.
Carycomic, Billy Idle never made a rumor like that....he was just in the neighborhood. It was because of his trip to Briscoe County. Tony with Clark Kent could be interesting. Both heroes would be very different than who their new partners were use to.
Never mind the quest to return the Infinity Stones; this could easily have been a side quest from the mission to retrieve them from Camp Lehigh in 1970, with Cliff in his golden years putting his jetpack on for one more adventure.
Just visually alone, this is an absolutely terrific cover! I just wish I could open this issue!

Iron Man and the Man of Steel? Holy Metallica, Batman!
DeleteDisney could actually do a team-up movie with them because they have the rights to the Rocketeer and Iron Man.

ReplyDeleteGood point! Why didn't Tobor and I think of that?
