Green Lantern and Tintin

Filming on the HBO Max Lanterns series is finally underway.  Hopefully that means we will soon get some more details on the look of the production.  I am sure the costume designers will want to steer clear of the mockery that Ryan Reynold's CGI costume received.  One distant set photo has been released, but it did not reveal anything.

  1. The bigger mockery would've been Ryan Reynolds playing Batman.

    1. Never thought about it before, but I guess Ryan Reynolds is the Mint Green Lantern.

  3. And I almost missed the sector number! Ha! Flight 714 was the first Tintin book I ever encountered, when I was about... 4, I think? Well before I could read it. I got heavily into Tintin several years later.

  4. OK; being serious now. I wonder if Tintin is going to check on the mysterious absence of the ring's previous owner?

  5. Would new readers come if they don't know Tintin? He reminds me a lot of the early Jimmy Olsen just living and always getting into trouble.

  6. You should do a GLC version with beings from all over who might be fearless. Iron the robot is my suggestion. Scrappy Doo for another.

  8. Hmm... This is neat Ross! But I think it was Tintin's resourcefulness and tenacity that helped him through tight situations. Of course, that's the mark of every Green Lantern when their power rings aren't enough to win the day. Will that power spoil Tintin?
