Harley Quinn, Doc Samson and Moonstone
Harley Quinn has encountered Doc Samson before on this blog - they first met in STF #1216 and then crossed paths again in STF #2221. Harley also squared off against Moonstone in STF #3122. I thought it was time to get all of them together.
I just read that Doc Samson's costume was a homage to Captain Marvel's (the original Billy Batson version). How about getting Doc and Billy together so Billy can make a forceful compaint about sartorial theft?
If the shrinking is literal, and not just the result of using something akin to Mysterio's hallucinogenic gas, then I'd say Hugo has employed a Pym-particle beam. Perhaps one obtained by Elihas "Egghead" Starr via that other criminal psychologist, Johann Fenhoff...aka Dr. Faustus!
Not meaning to digress or anything. But, is anyone else getting a Samuel L. Jackson or Laurence Fishburne vibe from Hugo Strange's steeple-fingered pose?
Great cover combo & it's also on my ten best from '24 list (with your recent Kang vs. S. Trek). Some great future "partners" should include - Dr. Cyber, Prof. Milo, Dr. Moon & Dr. Bombay.
Amalgam dr strange and Hugo strange

ReplyDeleteDavejonz - They made peace when they both joined The Lightning Bolts: https://braveandboldlost.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-lightning-bolts.html
ReplyDeleteHugo Strange, possibly given interesting abilities by Dr. Psycho ?
ReplyDeletecould Mr.Mind be behind it all…

DeleteThe HeadShrink-A-Thon is on!!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I feel like the Creeper might get involved in this situation!
ReplyDelete@Anon926: hey, you're right! Neither of those particular mad scientists has appeared here, yet.
ReplyDeleteGood calls Simon and Curtis E Driver! Did someone say "circus"? Then the Ringmaster may make a surprise appearance!
ReplyDeleteI'd still opt for some mind game being played by the red-bearded Dr. Faustus.
ReplyDeleteEspecially as this Prof. Strange suspiciously looks like he's been pumping iron!

ReplyDeleteThe story's title makes me wonder: Is there a shrinking character anywhere in comics who is also a psychiatrist or psychologist?
ReplyDelete@Cary: For me, more of a Leonard Nimoy vibe.
That is not logical. ;-D
DeleteHere's a wild idea: How about Doc Samson vs. Brock Samson? (and/or the two of them turning out to be related?)

ReplyDeleteHugo vs Atom & Ant-Man & Wasp in (dare i say it?) The Shrink test!
ReplyDeleteIf any of the above psychiatrists moonlighted as a hip-hop artist, would that person be performing Shrink Rap?
ReplyDelete(I'll show myself out.)
Kid C hit the pun before I could, though I was going to suggest it as an Atom/Ant-Man rap battle.
ReplyDelete@BG and KC: if the antagonist on this morning's cover owned a night club specializing in hip-hop music, would he call it...The Universal Joint?
