The Crimson Avenger and The Avengers in: "The Tragic Vow of Lee Travis!"

I felt that this team up idea from comics' historian and Patron of this blog Marc Tyler Nobleman was worthy of a follow up story.  Regular visitors, may remember the Crimson Avengers first encounter with Earth's Mightiest Heroes in STF #3271.  Thanks again for the idea, Marc!

  1. the Crimson Avenger will no doubt have a strong and honest reason for being the “Bad” Guy in this tale, it was fun working out where the Marvel characters pictures were taken from…

  3. I, too, thank Mr. Nobleman for this suggestion. And I'm sure Bob Greenwade and BigMike20X6 will be happy, as well.

  4. It's uncanny how well the Crimson Avenger fits in on this cover, but seems to have no weapons to even protect himself. Wonder how long that would last?

  5. One of your worst covers & ideas ever. Boring to the max. I laughed out loud at the "He could've been their greatest member" tag line. CA is the poster boy of lame heroes & a card carrying member of a lame crime fighting team 0f 8 members (with 7 in the title). Maybe you should try to make your own lame super team & see what brings them together. Start with 'Mazing Man from the 1980s. "The Lame Ones to the rescue!". Let fans make their input on super heroes for the team.
