I first presented a meeting between these two back in STF #1088. I saw the chance to feature Kirby artwork, and decided that it was high time for them to share a cover again. This time around, it would be cool to see them join forces against a common foe.
Hmm. Looks to me as if your sneaky plan to incarnate the emotional spectrum with super teams is finally back on track. I was rooting for Hulk to be on Team Green...and Mr Jonzz makes a great partner for him. (Though I bet Hal and the many other GLs are going to be miffed.)
ReplyDeleteI just plain love it. Great job, Ross! The King would be proud. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt isn't easy being green...
ReplyDeleteAnother great cover!!!
ReplyDeleteto quote a famous someone - pity the Fool… yup Great Cover…
ReplyDeleteThe POV Gunmen are in a whole lot of trouble, even with those high-tech weapons.
ReplyDeleteNext time these two team up, maybe it could be against the Leader and (Silver Age) Brainiac.
Unless those are Don Drake atomic disintegrator guns.
DeleteAn Emerald power play with so much potential. Snazzy!!
ReplyDeleteMight i suggest an undone to now team up of Hulk & Deadman. Flexing his muscle might carry a bit of difficulty for Boston at this level.
Not if it were the child-like Hulk from the 1970's.
DeleteSpeaking of Deadman: how about a one-on-one team-up between him and Dead Girl of the X-Statix? They haven't appeared, sans the rest of the Graveyard Shift, since STF #613!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you didn't make full use of the Hulk's history & MM's powers by having The Puppet Master use MM to become a Jarella duplicate to get to Greenskin's softer side. I'd pay $$$ to see that go down.
ReplyDeleteDon't you mean "greenbacks"? ;-)
Delete^ LOL. Yeah greenbacks.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm here all week. :-)
