I thought it was time that I featured these two bare-chested battlers from a time gone by in a tale together. While they may lack fancy attire, their dedication to clobbering demonic intruders is second to none - so you know that you could count on 22 pages of demon-bashing action
How about Mightor and He-Man; they both have transformational weapons and animal sidekicks.
ReplyDeleteOr Conan and Xena; when Conan is in an ancient warrior outfit, he resembles a male Xena.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they could form a new team, "The Loincloth Legion" or something similar. Tarzan could join, Ka-zar and possibly Kamandi too.
ReplyDeleteMightor, He-man, and Thor would go good together as a team whose members all have magical weapons that transform their ordinary human forms into their mighty superheroes, though I guess Thor doesn't really do that anymore. If you just focus on the magical weapons aspect you could add in Lion-O as well.
ReplyDeleteWrath-Amon (from the animated Conan series) would be my guess as the main antagonist. With maybe Korg the Monster Keeper and Weel-Ma the Serpent Queen as minions/co-conspirators.*
ReplyDelete*A little half-joke. Jean Vanderpyl, of Wilma Flintstone fame, was the voice of the latter villainess on the original Mightor series.
#my namesake@7:56: why not? Conn could even introduce them! Seeing as he's teamed up with He-Man twice before.
ReplyDeleteMole man or bibeast is my pick for villain behind it all
ReplyDeleteOne could add He-Man and Thundarr to this, wouldn't you say?
ReplyDeleteJoining in on the discussion about who the villain of the story is, my first-blush guess would be Anton Arcane.
as a strange one how about Arcade as the Villain,
ReplyDeletewouldn’t be the first time Conan was flung into the future, ( the savage Avengers )
Miss the Club team for Mightor. Wonder if he'll ever be known for Two Of Clubs? If he ever got a power ring too, which light would he burn?
ReplyDeleteLet's hope that ring doesn't come with a black lantern. You know; seeing as he's technically extinct?
ReplyDeleteWhile we're on the subject of toon tv heroes, the Wonder Twins teaming up with the bro/sis team of Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver would be something awesome.
ReplyDeleteAlso Mightor might look great next to the Super Friend version of Rima the Jungle Girl.
A quick look of Mightor's other 6 appearances show no team ups with any female characters yet.
ReplyDeleteYou could do sequels to some of the male ones = The Teen Angels (Capt. Caveman), Batwoman & Bat-Girl(for the Batman ones = with Mightor's young super powered male sidekick with his own club who appeared at least once in his old cartoon), the Enchantress or his main squeeze that starts with a "S" (Thor).
I also recall a female version of Mightor in at least 1 episode (but I forgot her name if she had any).
Whoops! I forgot Peebles (Bamm Bamm) & Emma (Anthro's galpal).
ReplyDeleteLol! Peebles was the short middle-aged pet shop owner who could never find a good home for the full-grown Magilla Gorilla. PEBBLES was Fred and Wilma Flintstone's daughter.
ReplyDelete:-)
That being said, I wouldn't be averse to seeing Mightor meet Maxx (and the caveman from "Primal").
ReplyDelete^ Lay off Cary. I usually log on here right before my bedtime (which isn't a fixed time). Drowsy poster here.
