When you count the Brave and the Bold and Marvel Two-In-One covers that I began with, this marks the 5000th cover on the blog!
Here are another two heroes that have power sets that go well together. Place them in a story that requires their special talents and you would have a fast paced page turner on your hands.
Wow! 5000! And they just keep getting better! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHuh. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 5000th cover in general! And, as usual, you've blended the different pieces of real-world artwork together quite seamlessly. Although, I must confess, I always found the in-flight version of the modern Ray a little disconcerting. More Sunspot of the New Mutants given a fast-ball special by Colossus!
ReplyDeleteP.S.---I also love the new color-coding. Wakes a person up faster than caffeine, itself ! :-)
ReplyDeleteYes! This is a brilliant pairing that I never would've come up with myself. And the visual is perfect!
ReplyDeleteA superhero team of royalty would be interesting. Like Black Panther, Namor, Black Bolt, Wonder Woman, Geo-Force and Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld. These are all marvel and dc characters, but i think you see where my brain went when i thought of a team of different royals.
ReplyDeleteConglomerations! And I notice issue 4500 is coming up in a few days.
ReplyDeletethat’s an awful lot of original ideas - thank you for giving us such a collection of fascinating covers - may you long continue…
ReplyDeletei do wonder how many windows broke from the sonic booms
Congrats on the milestone! And these flying poses/effects go together so well, it's like they were always meant to team-up! Amazing work, old buddy!
ReplyDeleteI think Shamus has a decent idea there. You can call the team The Rulers. Princess Projectra, Conan, and He-Man might also be included.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it, 5000 covers deserves FIREWORKS!!! Ideas, work and publication...Hell of a record to achieve!! Fantasticll
ReplyDeleteCareful...The Rulers might have a free for all with the Totalitarians & the Overlords.
ReplyDeleteSuppose you did something different: Judge Dredd is time pushed and meets Sgt Rock.
ReplyDeleteDredd does rules. How does he do in the mess of war?
DeleteWow. Superb cover! One of my favorites for sure.
ReplyDelete@Tobor: I actually was thinking that an eventual century-issue cover of the Rulers vs the Overlords would be in order.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the milestone!
ReplyDeleteCover of the month!
ReplyDeleteA beauty of a cover. Well done.
