Wildfire and Wonder Man

Uh-oh, looks like Kang's Timeskipper needs some assistance after Kang's run in with Spider-Man and The Legion of Super-Heroes in STF #3671.  He still has a Legionnaire under his thrall though, along with an Avenger, thanks to Dr. Psycho's mind manipulation.  Let's hope they can break free and save the day.

  1. An intriguing alliance of convenience, Ross. I mean, Kang and Wildfire I can understand. But, Dr. Psycho and Wonder Man? I can only surmise that you're indulging in a little synchronicity. Wonder Woman would be a man on post-Flashpoint Earth 11. And this Dr. Psycho could be from there. Perhaps even a dwarfish version of Hypnota!

Or, perhaps, I just need a second cup of coffee to further reorient my mind.

  2. I think we've found Peter Dinklage's character for DC, should he decide to work for them.

Wonder Man and Wildfire are both energy-forms, are they not? That might make for an interesting twist to the story.

  3. If memory serves, Drake Burroughs' body was converted into "anti-energy" while Simon Williams' essence was ionic energy.

  4. Great cover, interesting combination of characters here!

On an unrelated note, know what I just realized? Both the Ghostbusters AND Beetlejuice have new installments being advertised... and the two have never met on this blog, even though they seem like a natural pair! Interesting...

  5. Following Ben W, Ghostbusters and The Men in Black. That could also explain what some of the ghosts might be.

Hoping for part 3 of this story soon.

  6. Good One! Has Wildfire met Doctor Solar yet?

if all he wants is a power source Kang should put an energy vacuum near a sun or some other major power engine. He should have the tech and then some. Wonder Man has evolved.
Wonder Woman, Wonder Man, Wonder Girl, Wonder Dog, Shame they can't bring Donald Troy back as Wonder Boy for a full set.

  8. If the Ghostbusters and the Men in Black teamed up, it should be to take down Space Ghost.

I think Dr. Psycho and Psycho-Man would be a good teamup as well

Or perhaps Psycho-Man, Psycho Pirate, Dr. Psycho book a room at Norman Bates' motel

  9. @Fisher Timestreamer: in that case, how about Kang vs. GL Mogo?

  10. @Big Mike: in other words, a mistaken identity slugfest? Intiruging possibility! I wonder whose foes would instigate it? Gozer; Shredder; the Spider Widow; all of the above?

  11. @Anon823: I, uh, almost hate to mention this. But, Shredder is a TMNT foe! The only way he _might_ be associated with the MIB's is if the latter mistook Our Heroes on the Half-shell for space travelers from Turtle City on the planet Mobius.

Come to think of it; that might be an interesting team-up in itself. Men In Black meet Sonic the Hedgehog!

  12. I could go for a photo-capture of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones and CGI Sonic vs. Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman. It'd be a great movie poster simulation!

  13. @Big Mike Your last suggestion should really include Kid Psycho from the Legion!

  14. ^ & Pyscho Dad (from the Married With Children show).

Wonder Man could team up with Wonder Boy from the Freedom Fighters 1940s publisher.

Wildfire should team up with the 1940s potential All-Star S. member (who was replaced by the female Firebrand at the last minute "to avoid confusion" lol).

  15. ^ I meant this LOSH Wildfire should team up with the original DC comics heroine also named Wildfire. Sorry for any confusion there.

  16. What confusion? It's not like some parentally abused version of Spidey was having an interdimensional confab with a certain teenage Hawkman groupie from the 1970's and a legendary jazz saxophonist from the 1940's.

  17. @Anon: I think that such a Wildfire/Wildfire team-up would have to be left to DC themselves.

@Ross: A separate idea for April 1: The Justice League! Featuring every non-DC character who's ever joined that team on this blog (presumably because the main team is MIA).

  19. How about a team up with both Marvel and DC’s multiple versions of Wonder Man and Wonder Woman? I think DC has at least 3 Wonder Men.

That would be a team of “wonder!”
